This Kool-Aid tastes funny…
I read a story today about a daycare in Arkansas that accidentally served windshield wiper fluid to 10 kids between the ages of 2 and 7. It was taken out of a refrigerator by a daycare worker, poured into cups and given to the children. It didn’t taste too good so they didn’t drink much of it, but one kid remains hospitalized. When I first read this I thought, “Who puts wiper fluid in the refrigerator to begin with?” They must have updated the story since then because it was revealed that it was put in the fridge mistakenly as Kool-Aid, and served as Kool-Aid. Those damn toxic chemicals and their fun, fruity colors. Anyway, another update is that the owner gave up her daycare license today. Probably a good idea.

I would hope that day-care workers could tell the difference between window washer fluid and Kool-Aid. Why are they giving the kids Kool-Aid anyway?

I didn’t know you could buy premade Koolaid in a container marked Wiper Fluid. Um, I’ll have to go out to the garage to check, but doesn’t it have an odor too.
maxiegirl: I can tell the difference. I consumed a lot of Kool-Aid growing up. Ironically enough, blue was my least favorite flavor. Thanks for recognizing my blog with your award!
violetteb: The fluid usually comes in a very distinct bottle. It would be hard to mess up in my opinion. Then there is the odor, as well as the child-PROOF cap!
Angi: Excellent analysis.
