I am part of history as Eagles prevail

Published by zlobe at 9:24 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

So, the Eagles are marching on. Being at Giants Stadium watching the Eagles defeat the Giants 23-11 to move on to the NFC Championship game was something special. Of course, I was freezing in my seat, couldn’t feel my fingers (or my toes for that matter) and I missed some of the really important things that went on. Like when Donovan McNabb was pushed out of bounds, ran over and picked up a phone on the Giants bench for some unknown reason. I had no idea that he had done that until after I got home.

I also did not pick up on really exciting stats like the fact that I had just witnessed the first 23-11 game in NFL history (woo hoo!). I’ve only been to a handful of games in person but my experience is that being at a football game can be a little confusing versus watching at home on TV. At home, you can really see the action, the instant replays and hear the commentary. Trust me, I was glad to experience the game but I am also looking forward to watching the rest of the playoffs from my couch. Unless somebody has an all-expenses paid trip for me to fly to Phoenix and/or Tampa.

I’m flying to Phoenix from London on Friday to see the Eagles game and flying back on Monday. Got a brother who lives out there, so room his free.
Another brother and his son will be driving in from California. We’re all huge Eagles fans.

Didn’t they annouce that McNabb got an unsportsmanlike penalty from that? The announcers were making a big deal about it but I thought it was hilarious…I couldn’t stop laughing cause it really made no sense. I would’ve thought it was funny no matter who it was I think.

dletus: That is awesome. Have a great time at the game! Go Eagles!

Kristin: Yeah, they gave him unsportsmanlike conduct, but I think it was well worth it. It was a stunt that would make T.O. proud — pointless yet funny!
