McDonald’s wants us all to be Nuggnuts
So what does everybody think of the new McDonald’s ad campaign? You know, the one where they ask everybody who eats Chicken McNuggets to proclaim that they are a “Nuggnut”? Excuse me? At first, I thought they were saying “Numbnuts”. Not to be confused with former NHL goaltender Ron Tugnutt.
This ad is wrong on so many levels. First of all, McNuggets are not an actual food to begin with. Adding the word “nut” doesn’t do much for its integrity. It’s strange and a little creepy. Then I come to find out that there is a website nuggnuts.com, where you can learn all about The Art of Nuggnut, whatever that is.
Let us not forget about the banner ad that appeared on websites about 3 years ago, where McDonald’s invited us to think really disgusting thoughts about its sandwiches:
I am not even going to discuss that one.
