Bar patrons fight off robber
A guy trying to rob patrons at a bar got more than he bargained for. This happened at George’s Bar in Claymont, DE at about 1 AM on Thursday morning. The armed man worked his way down the bar, robbing each person as he went, including the bartender. That’s when a whole group of drinkers jumped him, and one patron hit the robber with a pool cue and got him to drop the gun. The group held him until police arrived. Every once in a while you hear about a story like this, where the people who are getting robbed at gunpoint fight back and end up catching him. In this case, it seems like this group of patrons had the help of a little liquid courage.
