Happy Left-Handers Day!
Let’s face it. We live in a world made for right-handed people. What about leftys like me? I have been discriminated against my whole life. Let’s take some time to recognize all southpaws, as August 13 is Left-Handers Day.
I was actually talking to my Dad just this morning about my circular saw, and he told me, “Well, how do you use it? You’re left-handed.” Well, I have to learn to use it righty, just like a lot of things. My first hockey stick, scissors, spiral notebooks. Sometimes I just have to make do. On the Simpsons, Ned Flanders opened up a left-hander store called the Leftorium. In the real world, this store does not exist even though 10% of people could use one. Let’s all take a moment today and remember all the lefties past and present who make this world a more interesting place.
