Why aren’t I here yet? Because your commercial is friggin’ annoying
I’ve talked about the website CommercialsIHate before. The one shown below would be a good candidate for the site, and if you live near Philly you’ve seen it before. If you haven’t, watch below:
Let me just say that the above was just one example of the Cherry Hill Triplex series of commercials. This version happens to have a customer saying the crazy guy’s catch phrase: “Tah-day at the Cherry Hill Triplex… why aren’t ya here yet??” But it seems that there is a new Triplex commercial every week (not difficult considering how low budget they are) and they each have a different gimmick, like put the crazy guy in a dunk tank. When I saw one today with crazy guy riding a horse in the parking lot, I had to give it a mention. Come to think of it, this is actually not a commercial I hate. It’s one of those so-bad-it’s-funny commercials. I laugh every time. However, the commercial does not achieve its goal, not with me anyway. I am not going anywhere near that place. Really, would you want to buy a car from this guy? In the meantime, I might plug their business again in the future, just to keep the commercials coming. Does anybody else have funny local commercials they’d like to share?
This is funny…I can’t find the commercial on Youtube…I THINK it’s for a car title loan called “CashPoint”…where this woman is trying on a wedding dress and her friend goes, “How are you going to pay for THAT?!” and she talks about how she sold her car title AND got to keep her car!
Equally annoying in this area are the “Eastern Motors” commercial (Your job’s your credit!). I can’t tell you how annoying-they’re-funny they are but they make sooo many of them and even started enlisting Redskins players to appear in them. I hate these commercials - every time they come on to the TV I want to throw something at it.
Who would buy a car from a man in a dunk tank surrounded by a clown, rainbow brite and a donkey?
And why does he have to yell the entire time? Enough is enough!
