This just in: Pennsylvania well-represented in the Olympics
According to a report this morning the Today show on NBC, Pennsylvania is the state that is sending the third most athletes to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Well, okay. The reporter was Kathie Lee Gifford. And it wasn’t so much a report as it was a trivia question where she asked an audience member which state had the most. But if you take Kathie Lee as a credible source that’s pretty cool.
The only states with more are California and Texas. No word on how many are from the Philly area. I will work on that answer. It looks like we’re gearing up for another memorable games in China. These are the games I always get excited about every four years. Then again, if it were more often than every four years, I am sure my excitement level would drop.
