Montauk Monster: Bizarre beach creature thingy

Published by zlobe at 5:26 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

I’m not sure if you’ve seen the picture yet, but the weirdest looking thing I’ve ever seen washed up on a beach in Long Island this week. They’re calling it the Montauk Monster, but nobody really knows what it is.

So far, the guesses have ranged from a dog to a sea turtle to a rodent. And where did the dinosaur-like beak come from? Of course, others think it is just a hoax. It could end up being a modern-day Loch Ness Monster.  I remember when I visited the Delaware Canal as a kid, one time there appeared to be some animal trapped under the falls that we weren’t sure what it was. But we pretty much had it narrowed down to a small cow or large dog. But this? This creature is beyond explanation and I am not sure if there will ever be one. I will have to keep an eye out the next time I go to the beach.

If you look really closely it kind of has a beak and front feet not unlike a turtles. My guess is that it is a turtle minus its shell. There is an animal research facility just along the river. I wouldnt be surprised if it had been flushed,shell-less thinking it was dead, but had survived long enough to grow some. Guesswork I know but my money is on turtle!

Wow, that is one strange looking creature. I’d be curious to know what they find out about this thing…unless it IS all a hoax.
