“I don’t know where it starts and where it begins”

Published by zlobe at 7:26 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

The title of this blog comes from one of the not too bright comments I’ve made over the years. The inspiration for the blog is a recent article that can be found here:

That’s right, this is especially for all you readers who come from New Jersey, but I’ll also welcome a Philly perspective on the subject. Where is that invisible line separating North and South Jersey? The article had many theories, but one of my favorites is that if you don’t have a Wawa, you’re North Jersey. I found that out one time driving through downtown Paterson one night looking for one (I don’t recommend doing this by the way).

I always thought Trenton was kind of a good dividing point, but then again I used to work across the river from Trenton in Yardley, PA (definitely a Philly suburb so you would think it’s across from South Jersey). But the other people who worked there liked to go to Belmar beach, which seems to be in North Jersey. So I guess it is not as simple as I thought. This article suggests that the line goes right through Long Beach Island. Thoughts? What are some of your deciding factors?

Ask ten people from New Jersey this question and you’re sure to get ten different opinions. Check out Wikipedia’s definition of “South Jersey” … I agree with it.

Since I am from PA, I won’t comment on this one…north or south Jersey. But I will comment on the headline…which is hilarious. Thanks!
